We are a friendly and well-run social club situated opposite Fishponds Park that is affiliated with the Royal British Legion. We organise events and other social activities to suit all tastes.
We are always willing to accept new members and you don't have to be a member of the Armed Forces to join.
There are several areas inside the club. Upon entering from our front outside, you will first see the Jubilee Bar, where you can enjoy a range of coffees as well as cookies and muffins.
The Jubilee Bar is also home to our Café where you can enjoy great, home-cooked food (either eat-in or take-away), freshly prepared by Tony & Lyn.
Next to that, you will find our large Function Suite which has a stage, projector, screen and sprung dance floor. Both the Jubilee Bar and the Function Suite can accommodate up to 260 people. This is where we run large entertainment events, and these areas are also available for hire for any private events that you would like to run.
Our Members' Bar in the main part of the club accommodates 80 people and has a well-stocked bar, including a selection of draught ales, lagers, bottled beers, ciders as well as a great range of wines, spirits and soft drinks - all very reasonably priced and cheaper than pubs and bars in the surrounding area. Current draught beers and lagers include Guinness, Coors, Carling, Staropramen, Wolf Rock, Doom Bar as well as Madri - be sure to try it!
Occupying part of the Members Bar, our games area consists of two dartboards and a number of tables for card playing and other board games. We even have a giant Jenga game, too. We regularly run darts competitions as well as a monthly pub quiz.
We also have a snooker room with four full-sized snooker tables, where members can enjoy a great game of snooker. The high-spec tables can be played on for just £1 for 30 minutes. We also have various fruit machines in the club if you fancy a small flutter.
We are also affiliated with the Royal British Legion Surbiton Bowls Club who meet every Monday and Friday for practice sessions. Further details are available in the club.
We organise a number of events to cater to all tastes. We have our popular Bingo night on Wednesday as well as a weekly meat draw and a weekly money draw where 40 cash prizes are up for grabs. There is also Open the Box every Friday, where one lucky winner has the chance to win the jackpot.
On our big screen we also show major sporting events courtesy of our BT Sports subscription, such as the Six Nations rugby, cricket and football matches.
On Saturday evenings, we have live music and tribute acts in the Function Suite where you can dance to your favourites. Past evenings include tribute acts for ABBA, Elton John, The Jam, Shirley Bassey, UB40, Rod Stewart and The Candy Girls.
